The Changing Education Policy and How Writers Fusion Fits In

The Obama Administration announced the need to change No Child Left Behind. "I can’t tell you how many conversations I’m in with educators who are understandably stressed and concerned about an overemphasis on testing in some places and how much time testing and test prep are taking from instruction,” said outgoing Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan. This is good news for the creative educator who can now focus on substantive teaching, rather than teaching to the test.  And for this educator, the committed instructor who engages his/her students in lively learning, Writers Fusion is the perfect program.
Whether the program is used as an extracurricular activity or part of the writing curriculum, Writers Fusion inspires creativity, imagination and practical learning. By the end of the program a student will have produced a full-manuscript, complete with rewrites, peer reviews and the confidence that comes from writing a multi-hundred page document.
Writers Fusion is not about teaching to the test, but rather teaching to the student. The changing policy is good for educators and it’s good for students. Memorize grammar rules. But learn sentence structure, story telling and plot development through hands-on experience. Write, write, write!
