We’re a team of passionate educators and writers, dedicated to inspire youth to complete a novel-length manuscript ready for publication.

As authors and teachers we are passionate about the benefits and ideals that Writers Fusion emphasizes.  We believe our educational backgrounds, creative writing pursuits, life experiences, and teacher-to-student bonding abilities make us distinctively qualified to bring to this unique project elements that will both engage and inspire other teachers and instructors who want to "light a fire” in students’ lives and ultimately free their creative minds…

M. Porter Dyer, Founder

Mr. Dyer is from back east, as in New Jersey east (though, surprisingly, there is no trace of an accent but plenty of tough-guy attitude). But don’t be fooled by his rugged, lone-wolf exterior: this ‘man of letters’ writes gripping, engaging thrillers and Young Adult novels that entertain and go down easy. He likes living on the edge, motoring the rugged Rockies on his motorcycle, snowboarding double-diamonds and tearing it up in his motorboat. His writing influences are Ernest Hemingway, Cormac McCarthy, Chuck Palahnuik, and Charles Bukowski. He currently resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife, Tara, and two children. He is Head of the English Department at Mesa Ridge High School.

E.W. MacEnulty II, Founder

Mr. MacEnulty prides himself on being the youngest of The Drinklings, since the titles of Best-Looking and Best-Writer were already taken by the other two. That said, his writing ranges all over the map from Young Adult to Literary Experimental to the occasional Western, all flavored with heavy helpings of Magical Realism. When he's not working on the page, you can see him on the stage, writing, directing and producing plays. He counts his greatest literary influences to be Chaim Potok, Frank Herbert, Alan Duff, Shakespeare, Douglas Adams and Tom Stoppard. He's a native son of Colorado where he lives with his wife, Kristen, and three children.

Eoin McMahon, Founder

If you can’t figure out how to pronounce Eoin’s first name (rhymes with Ian), that’s okay; there are few who can on first glance. Eoin is full-throated Irish, also from back east, as in waaay back east, as in Belfast, whose native Irish blood can be seen in his beautiful and complex prose, exploring all vistas of human nature. His work, like a full-bodied, well-aged scotch, encompasses the Literary and Magical Realism genres. HIs literary influences are Thomas Pynchon, Donald Westlake, Frank Herbert, Rainer Maria Rilke, and Umberto Eco. Among his many jobs, he’s been a taxi driver, a chocolate maker and, most recently, an English teacher. He makes his home in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, with his wife of many moons, Evy.

Tara Cugelman-McMahon, CEO

Tara resides in Washington, DC, where she moved to attend law school. Only after graduating, did she realize that writing was her passion. She took interest in Writers Fusion so that no young student would make the same mistake she did. Just kidding! She loves being a lawyer, but wants to help high school students discover the love of writing and their inner author. Tara runs a comedy blog where she writes about her life in DC and has also written a comedic screenplay about unemployment. She has been told she is the most non-lawyer lawyer you’ll ever meet.
